It's a night that combines all the elements of competition, glamour and fun - and for eight years it's been the event at which to be seen. if you're a winner in business. The Midland Weekly Media Business Awards is the highlight of the calendar for companies in Sutton, Lichfield and Tamworth.

As organisers of the event, Midland Weekly Media is delighted to welcome new partners, Phonebox, this year. This year the men and women who make the local business world tick, will gather at the prestigious Holte Suite in the shadow of that world famous old stadium, Villa Park, to celebrate success on a grand scale.

And win or lose, you are guaranteed an evening to remember. After a sumptious meal comes the nerve-jangling contest for the glittering awards themselves. There'll be the usual frivolity, provided once again by esteemed Midland compere and long time supporter of the awards, Dave Ismay, and that'll be followed by dancing into the small hours with "The Father Teds" - a terrific, all-purpose band of musicians with a great local following.

But the Business Awards is not just about winning. Last year the evening raised £1,700 for Promise Dreams, a children's charity helping terminally ill youngsters. This year the chosen charity is St Giles Hospice.
